Alexis Cerván

After graduating in Psychology from the University of Málaga, I enrolled in the MSc in Neuroscience at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim).
I carried out my master’s thesis at the Cognitive and Systems Neuroscience group of the Swammerdam Institute of Life Sciences (University of Amsterdam). Through in vivo electrophysiology and optogenetics, I investigated how higher visual areas modulate processing in the primary visual cortex of head-fixed mice.
As a PhD student, I am currently working in the cortical dynamics of decision making in schizophrenia.
